Mini-Seminar with MCU's Command Staff College |
We were proud to host a group of students from Marine Corps University’s Command and Staff College for a mini-seminar in our Atlantic Hall. The topic for the day was “Arctic Security and Cold Weather Operations,” which is one of the seminars required for the students’ course of study. Deputy Head of Mission Bård Ivar Svendsen, Defense Attaché Ole Morten Sandquist, and Defense Counselor Liv Karin Parnemo offered remarks and insights.
The group learned about Norwegian security policy in the High North, the accession of Sweden and Finland into NATO, and Norway’s Nansen Support Program for Ukraine, among other topics. They also asked many thoughtful questions. Thank you for visiting! Photo: Royal Norwegian Embassy in Washington, D.C. |
Thank You, Håkon and Marie! |
The time has come to bid farewell to our fantastic interns, Håkon and Marie, who have been with us at the Embassy for the past six months.
Between political reports, organizing events, and all other tasks we’ve thrown their way, they have worked through a busy election season and kept a close eye on domestic and international developments. We have truly appreciated their enthusiasm and valuable insights. Marie and Håkon – we know you'll do great things in your future endeavors!
